OWNER & FOUNDER
Amirul is the owner and founder of Debut. He is also the Head Barber, teaching and training everyone with guidelines of his priceless experiences and life lessons. He brought a whole lot of education and a 15-year experience into this company. Things run his way here. Amirul studied barbering at The Hairdresser and Barber Patrick. After his former businesses Hot Hot Cut and O’oi & Comrades, he opened up Debut in November 2016 with his wife, Farah Munirah. Today, he cuts upon appointments and focuses more towards management, system, and marketing of Debut.
Farah Munirah
MANAGER
Farah is the Manager of Debut. She is the wife of Amirul and co-founder of the company. She came into the team as the Manager in 2018 when the company was abruptly expanding. She took over most of what kept Amirul’s hands full and manage almost every single aspect of the company. She is also considered as our “offline” Admin.
Farah has the most incredible taste in life and a colourful vision. She came up with the name “Debut” which until now seems perfectly fated. It is also her doing when it comes to the shop’s playlist or event titles.
ATID HALIM
Senior Barber
Atid is the Senior Barber. Being the first and longest staff member who fought alongside Amirul, he knows the company better than anyone in the team. He is also the Assistant Manager and is most likely everyone’s big brother.
Born and raised in Kedah, he moved to Ipoh to study hairdressing after finishing high school. He had two roads to go down to and the other was his passion for football. But he chose the barbering road instead and he couldn’t be more correct. He is absolutely top of his game and gives the best Debut experience. But if there’s ever a chance of a game on the field, count him in.
Muhammad Nur Afiq
Senior Barber
Afiq is a Senior Barber at Debut Midtown. He has undeniable skills when it comes to hairdressing. He gives accurate advices and consults as about your hair needs as he has been in the barbering world for three years.
He knew Amirul long before Debut when he was younger and hairdressing was one of his many passions. He became a part of the team in May 2017. Learned from experiences and the true lessons of Amirul, he made his way into the spotlight as a Senior Barber and beloved by everyone who has had a taste of his medicine.
Afiq is also a very talented graffiti artist. He came from a family of artists and has been good at painting and drawing since he was 7. Today, his art skills shine through his amazing work of hair tattoos.
Ahmad Azizul Hakim Abdul Aziz
Senior Barber
Akim is a Senior Barber at Debut. He joined us in July 2017 as a part-time barber while he was on semester break. He’s a postgraduate student of History and Civilization from IIUM and has been cutting his friends and family’s hair since 2013. While studying in Gombak, he’s a barber to his friends at the campus and a part-time barber at Debut when he’s back in Ipoh during semester breaks. He is also our financial executive and runs things very systematically.
Mohamad Firdaus Azman
Junior Barber
Aus is one of our newest and youngest. He joined the team in June 2019 and trained with us for six months. Back then, he used to spend most of his time after school hanging out at his friend’s barbershop before deciding that he’s into barbering as much as he’s into travelling. He picks up fast, especially hair and fashion skills. He’s developed noticeable tapering skills favoured by all his first-timer customers.
Muhammad Norhafizi
Junior Barber
Better known as EG, he’s one of our Junior Barbers. “Junior” doesn’t cut it for him because he mastered undeniable barber skills in under a year. He’s a pro when it comes to your perfectly gradient fade. He was taught by Amirul from zero knowledge in hairdressing and later then picked up his own skills along the way.
EG came along in July 2017 as Amirul’s apprentice.
